Who Should Attend?
This program is intended for pediatricians, family practice physicians, nurses and interested allied health professionals who provide care for infants, children and adolescents.
Course Overview and Objectives
The goal of this course is to provide state-of-the-art information on a variety of important clinical issues facing the pediatric practitioner. In addition to didactic lectures, which will present current diagnostic and management information, a key objective is to provide opportunity for conference participants to discuss practice dilemmas with the expert faculty during lunch as well as during the question and answer sessions.
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

Identify current evaluation and treatment strategies for selected pediatric diseases and disorders including insulin resistance, chronic abdominal pain, arthritis, headache, otitis media, warts and molluscum contagiosum;

Describe gynecologic problems encountered in the pediatric population;

Differentiate positional plagiocephaly from craniosynostosis and discuss management options.
