 Chaplain Tess Valdez is the Bilingual Chaplain at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. She is available to all of the children and families who are monolingual or bilingual Spanish speaking. She sees families of all faiths, though she herself is a member of the Assemblies of God denomination. She has worked with Hispanic ministries for over 25 years. She did a year in the Clinical Pastoral Education Residency at Packard. After a year of Hospice ministry, she returned as the first Bilingual Chaplain.Lucile Packard Children's Hospital is located in Palo Alto, adjacent to Stanford University Hospital, approximately 20 miles north of San Jose, CA and 40 miles south of San Francisco.
