A critical shortage of beds

Undersized facilities

The need to adapt to changing technologies that will further new advances in medical care
Lucile Packard Children's Hospital's preliminary needs assessment calls for 425,000 sq ft of new facilities on the current site which will add 104 patient beds featuring:
-
Individual rooms to further family-centered care
-
New surgical, diagnostic and treatment rooms
-
Clinics
Phase 1 Construction
In October 2004, Packard Children's Hospital embarked on Phase 1 of a large hospital remodeling project which will increase our capacity and enhance the overall patient and family experience. Construction activity is taking place as we work to complete the remaining Phase 1 projects. We are working to provide as much relief as possible from the construction noise and vibration for you and your family. Please speak with your caregiver about any significant issues you may have associated with the construction activities you might experience. Our Patient Relations staff is also always available and ready to help as they can.
