Changes Affecting Routes and Travel Time to Packard Children's Hospital and its Palo Alto Clinics

Effective September 26, 2011, road closures and changes to Welch Road and Quarry Road will affect all traffic going to Lucile Packard Children's Hospital and our outpatient clinics in Palo Alto. Please allow for 15 minutes of extra travel time and click a link below to view the revised map and driving directions for each location:

The work on Welch and Quarry Roads is to install utility and information services infrastructure to support Project: Renewal. Welch Road will also be widened, and sidewalks, curbs, gutters, lighting and medians will be upgraded.

The Packard Children’s Hospital construction team, Infection Prevention and Control, and Environmental Health and Safety departments have developed a comprehensive plan that will minimize any theoretical risk to our patients, staff and visitors.
