New Educational Series For Spanish-Speaking Parents Of Young Children Diagnosed With An Autism Spectrum Disorder
Enrollment underway for individual sessions or series; Meets every Friday through May 15

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- The Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford is offering a new, weekly educational series for Spanish-speaking parents of young children (1-5 years) with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).Subjects covered in the series, which is now underway and continuing each Friday through May 15, include diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and behavioral support at home. “We’re pleased to offer these sessions to our Spanish-speaking community,” said Maria Elena De Anda, PhD, coordinator of the series. “There’s lots of valuable education and information we can provide to them, and we expect the parents will even share some important learnings with us.”
