Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Clinic

The muscular dystrophy association (MDA) clinic treats patients with various muscleand nerve disorders. The common diseases that we see are muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy, and hereditary sensorimotor neuropathy. Children are evaluated by a multidisciplinary team of neurologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and social workers. There are ongoing therapeutic trials, e.g. prednisone therapy in Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
