Pediatric Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison Service |
The Pediatric Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison Service provides inpatient and outpatient psychiatric consultation, evaluation, and treatment related to the psychological adjustment of children and families with acute and chronic medical and mental illnesses such as:
- Complex mixed medical-psychiatric diagnoses
- Noncompliance with medical treatment
- Chronic pain
- Procedural anxiety
- Feeding disorders
- Failure to thrive
- Organ transplantation

Services
- Psychiatric evaluation, management, and treatment
- Evaluation of children and adolescents who are having difficulties adhering to their medical treatment regimen
- Evaluation and treatment of infants with feeding disorders and growth deficiency
- Presurgical psychiatric evaluation
- Short term inpatient individual and family psychotherapy
- Behavioral interventions for pain management and anxiety related to medical procedures
- Consultation to the General Pediatric Continuity Clinic on psychiatric issues including assessment and medication management
- Behavioral interventions
