National Hemophilia Foundation - A national organization providing support and information for people suffering from bleeding disorders. Includes information about von Willebrand's disease and various blood factor deficiencies.
Cooley's Anemia Foundation - Information about thalassemia diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing research.
Community Resources & Support Groups
Camp Okizu - A summer camp program for children with cancer and their siblings. Supported by the Okizu Foundation and pediatric oncology treatment programs in Northern California. (415) 382-9083.
Touchstone Support Network - Organized by Parents Helping Parents, a Santa Clara, California based group dedicated to helping parents of children with special needs. The Touchstone Support Network provides practical and emotional help for families of children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses. (408) 727-5775.
BraveKids.org - Compiles lists of local and national resources for families of children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses or disabilities.
