Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant Team |
At Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, members of the health care team
will be in contact with the patient and family before, during, and after
the transplant stay. They will describe the treatment plan and any
changes that may be necessary. They will offer support and will be able
to answer questions. We encourage patients and family members to ask
questions so that they understand the reasons for the treatments and
procedures recommended. The patients and families are vital members of
the health care team.
Our extensive network of support staff and experts is specially trained
to help both the child and family through the transplant experience.
Along with other members of the health care team, they strive to create
a warm and helpful environment.
In addition to our pediatric
hematologists, oncologists, and stem cell transplant specialists, this
