Fetal Conditions and Treatments

 
The Center for Fetal and Maternal Health cares for fetal patients with many different conditions and needs, including those that:
  • Require careful monitoring, follow-up, and possibly even specialized treatment before birth
  • Require neonatal intensive care immediately after birth due to complex problems, surgery or other medical needs
  • Require an early delivery because of an urgent or worsening problem 
  • Do not require intensive care immediately after delivery, but will need specialty care and follow-up as an outpatient

The Children’s Heart Center is world-renowned for treating infants with heart problems soon after birth, even in infants that are very premature and/or small.
