The Program for Placental Disorders cares for expectant women with known or suspected placental disorders, including:

Placenta previa – The placenta partly or completely covers the cervix
Placenta accreta and placenta increta – The placenta grows too deeply into the uterus
Placenta percreta – The placenta grows all the way through the uterus, sometimes invading nearby organs such as the bladder
Other placental disorders, e.g., very elevated AFP or abnormal serum screening
