Our team is able to accept emergent referrals, and our longstanding expertise allows us to list patients very quickly when required.

After hours and weekends
Please call the hospital page operator at (650) 723-6661 and ask for the pediatric GI fellow on call.
Information and records
Please fax your patient’s medical records to (650) 736-7857. It is also helpful to have demographic information (including insurance information) to quickly register the patient.
Transport
If an inpatient evaluation and transport are required, we will work with you and our Transport Service to get your patient to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.After Your Referral
We are committed to providing family-centered care to all children who require a transplant and their families. We work closely with the family from the moment of the referral to make sure all questions are addressed.After you refer a patient to our program, the child will be assigned a dedicated transplant coordinator. The coordinator will:
- Call the family and provide transplant-specific education
- Serve as a liaison to the patient and family with the transplant team
