- Inpatient dermatologic care for children with severe or extensive skin diseases
- Dermatologic surgical services, including laser treatment of port-wine stains and excision of skin lesions
Genetic Skin Disease Center
Dermatology is also the home of the Genetic Skin Disease Center that provides specialized, multidisciplinary care for children with complex skin disease. These clinics make up the Genetic Skin Disease Center:- Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) Clinic. EB is a group of inherited diseases characterized by excessive blistering of the skin after minor mechanical trauma.
- Vascular Anomalies Clinic (VAC). VAC provides care for patients with complex hemangiomas, vascular tumors and vascular malformations.
- Genetic Skin Diseases Clinic. This clinic offers coordinated consultation from dermatology and genetics on the diagnosis and treatment of presumed genetic disorders with skin manifestations.
