Expert Treatment of Hereditary Skin Disorders

At the Genetic Skin Diseases Clinic our patients are personally examined and diagnosed by a team of pediatric dermatologists and geneticists. You and your child will receive expert consultation for the treatment and management of complex, hereditary disorders that primarily affect the skin.

Diagnostic consultations are also available for children with a probable genetic disorder in which skin changes may be a clue to diagnosis.

Our teams work with a wide variety of disorders, including:

• Albinism
• Ectodermal dysplasias
• Ehlers-Danlos syndrome
• Ichthyoses
• Incontinentia pigmenti 
• Premature aging syndromes

If neede, long-term follow-up of children with hereditary skin disorders is done in the general Pediatric Dermatology Clinic and Genetics Clinic.
