Services Overview

Our Gastroenterology, Nutrition and Hepatology Clinic successfully treat liver and gastrointestinal problems in children.
The Gastroenterology, Nutrition and Hepatology Clinic diagnoses and manages gastrointestinal (digestive) and liver disorders and nutritional problems in infants and children. We use a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to treat a number of problems, including:

  • Provide training and follow-up support for use of home enteral or parenteral nutrition. A child on enteral nutrition receives a mixture of liquid food through a tube into the stomach or small bowel. A child on parenteral nutrition receives a mixture of liquid food through an intravenous (IV) needle.
  • Evaluate candidates for pediatric liver transplantation
  • Provide gastroenterology and hepatology outreach clinics throughout the western United States
