Services Overview
The Movement Disorders Clinic at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital is a unique service provided by the Neurology department for the diagnosis and treatment of children with:- Ataxia - Coordination problems
- Bradykinesia - Slow movement
- Chorea - Irregular movements of the face and limbs that cannot be controlled (involuntary)
- Dystonia - Muscle contractions that cannot be controlled (involuntary)
- Myoclonus - Quick muscle jerks that cannot be controlled (involuntary)
- Spasticity - Stiff muscles
- Tics - Unusual movements or sounds over which the patient may have little or no control
- Tremors - A rhythmic shaking that cannot be controlled (involuntary)
- Cerebral Palsy
