Important Change to Hospital Visitation Policy |
| Effective October 19, 2009, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital will no longer allow non-patient visitors or family members under the age of 16 years to visit in the hospital. This policy will be in effect during the height of the flu season, usually lasting until spring, and will be re-evaluated at that time. The Charles B. and Ann L. Johnson Center for Pregnancy and Newborn Services
The Charles B. and Ann L. Johnson Center for Pregnancy and Newborn Services brings together clinical services for the mother, fetus and newborn and formalizes academic partnerships among participating faculty and staff dedicated to the health and well-being of child-bearing families from conception through infancy. The Johnson Center name designates collaboration between already existing services and departments, rather than a separate building or location.Center clinical services include:
- Prenatal and postpartum care including fetal and genetic counseling and testing
- Diagnosis and counseling for low and high risk pregnancies
- Neonatal intensive services for critically ill newborns
- Obstetrical delivery service including 24 hour in house OB Anesthesia coverage
- Mary L. Johnson Development and Behavior Unit, providing comprehensive evaluation and diagnostic services for children at medical risk for developmental delay
- Intermediate Intensive Care Nursery
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
- Mary L. Johnson Developmental and Behavioral Unit
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Dominican Hospital
- Packard Special Care Nursery
- Special Care Nursery at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital
- Special Care Nursery at Sequoia Hospital
- Special Care Nursery at Washington Hospital
- Special Care Nursery at Watsonville Community Hospital
- Blankets for Babies Program
