Important Change to Hospital Visitation Policy |
| Effective October 19, 2009, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital will no longer allow non-patient visitors or family members under the age of 16 years to visit in the hospital. This policy will be in effect during the height of the flu season, usually lasting until spring, and will be re-evaluated at that time. Services Overview
Take a virtual tour of the Special Care Nursery. The Packard Special Care Nursery (PCSN) is a 14 bed transitional care nursery. We provide family-centered care to newborns who require short-term observation and/or continuing intermediate care. This includes newborns with:- Mild, transitional respiratory distress that requires monitoring and short-term oxygen therapy
- Risk factors for infection that require observation, diagnosis and antibiotic therapy
