Services Overview
The pediatric ophthalmology division provides diagnostic and comprehensive evaluation and treatment for children with eye (ocular) and visual problems. Our team places special emphasis on providing infant- and child-friendly exams.Surgeries are performed in the Ford Family Surgery Center - a state-of-the-art surgical facility designed specifically for children. Learn more about the Center and how to prepare for your child's surgery. We diagnose, manage and treat patients with:
- Eye muscle imbalances (strabismus)
- Amblyopia - Vision does not develop normally during childhood. Usually the child has one weak eye with poor vision and one strong eye with normal vision. This is also called "lazy eye".
- Genetic eye disorders
- Droopy eyelid (ptosis)
- Cortical visual impairment (CVI) - Vision problems that are caused by the brain, not the eye
