Claire Abrajano, RN, BSN, MSN, WOCN, CPNP
Claire Abrajano, RN, BSN, MSN, WOCN, CPNP, is a pediatric nurse practitioner (PNP) for the Pediatric General Surgery service, providing both inpatient and outpatient care to patients and families. She completed her bachelor of science degree in nursing at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1994. She completed her masters of science in nursing at UCLA in 1998. Her nursing experience prior to being a PNP has been in the pediatric intensive care unit at UCLA and Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles (CHLA). She was a PNP with pediatric anesthesia at CHLA prior to joining the Pediatric Surgery team at Lucile S. Packard Children’s Hospital in the fall of 1999. In 2002, she obtained her training certification in wound, ostomy & continence nursing (WOCN) at Emory University. She is an active member of the American Pediatric Surgical Nurses Association (APSNA) and the Bay Area Chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP). Her special interests include research at LPCH studying a silver impregnated dressing to help decrease surgical site infection and with management of gastroschisis. She is married to Sehjung and has one child, Kira.
