The Stanford Center for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology was established to provide expert medical care in a caring and sensitive environment designed to be particularly responsive to the unique needs of children and adolescents with gynecologic needs.
 
The Center accepts patients for primary management as well as co-management, working actively with the referring providers to coordinate treatment and management of the patients’ care. The Center is fully staffed by a faculty (Judith A. Lacy, MD) of subspecialists, experienced nurse coordinators, and administrative support, all of whom are devoted to the goal of providing patients with the highest quality health care.
 
The Center for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology offers a comprehensive range of services for the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents with gynecologic disorders including, but not limited to:
    • Precocious or Delayed

  • Adolescent Sexual Health and Contraception
    • Complex needs including post-transplant

    • Asymmetry
    • Cysts, lesions, lumps
    • Galactorrhea

  • Chronic Anovulation
    • PCOS
    • Pituitary tumors

  • Disorders of the Vulva, Vagina and Cervix
    • Vulvovaginitis
    • Lichen sclerosis
    • Bacterial vaginosis
    • Condylomata/Genital warts
    • Bartholin’s gland cysts

  • Foreign Body (Vaginal)

  • Genital Trauma
    • Traumatic injuries
    • Post assault injuries (after primary assault care completed)

  • Gynecologic Congenital Anomalies
    • Agenesis and paramesonephric duct anomalies
    • Congenital abnormalities of the vagina and uterus
    • External genitalia malformations

  • Pelvic Masses

  • Pelvic Pain

  • Reproductive Endocrinology
    • Hirsutism
    • Endometriosis
    • Congenital adrenal hyperplasia
    • Androgen insensitivity syndrome/Testicular feminization
    • Clitoromegaly


Lucile Packard Children's Hospital is located in Palo Alto, adjacent to Stanford University Hospital, approximately 20 miles north of San Jose, CA and 40 miles south of San Francisco.
