Amy Ladd, MD, pediatric orthopedic surgeon; Erin Butler, motion analysis engineer; and Jessica Rose, PhD, director of the Motion & Gait Analysis Laboratory, provided comment regarding their golf swing research. Dr. Ladd and Dr. Rose’s “Anatomy of Movement” class at Stanford University is aiming to better understand the intricacies of how arms, hands and fingers work. The research could help doctors develop better treatments for disabled children. Their most recent sessions looked at the swings of pro golfers Casey Martin and Will Yanagisawa.
