Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital radiologists are specially trained in pediatric radiology. They are experts in determining and using the imaging technology that will present the most accurate diagnosis for your child.

Power PenguinThe Packard Kids Connection teaches children ages 5-12 what it's like to get an MRI, CT, x-ray, anesthesia or IV.
Some of our team’s recent accomplishments include:
  1. The Society for Pediatric Radiology awarded Packard Children’s Hospital radiologists with the prestigious Caffey Award for the best pediatric imaging research in both 2009 and 2010.

  2. Shreyas Vasanawala, MD, PhD, was the sole recipient of the 2010 GE Healthcare MRI "Thought Leader Award" for advancing MRI applications for children.

  3. Richard A. Barth, MD, received the Society for Pediatric Radiology 2010 Presidential Recognition Award for contributions to pediatric radiology. He was also recognized by RT Image Magazine as one of the 25 most influential people, institutions, or events that shaped radiology in 2010.
