Social Services Team

The Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Social Services team’s medical social workers have master's degrees and are certified to practice social work by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. We are trained in: 

• Psychosocial assessment
• Child and adolescent development
• Family systems theory
• Behavioral/mental health counseling

Locations. We provide social services to children, expectant mothers and their families at:

• The main children’s hospital and outpatient clinics, including all obstetric services
• Satellite locations/units
  • Washington Hospital 
  • Sequoia Hospital
  • El Camino Hospital inpatient pediatric units
  • Specialty Center South Bay Clinic in Los Gatos
  • Castro Commons Clinic in Mountain View
  • Adolescent Health Van
