Our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, new Ford Family Surgical Suites, and Pediatric Ambulatory Care Center provide not only the most advanced technological settings, but some of the most compassionate and qualified physicians, nurses and support staff to care for the children we see. From our radiologists (MRI and CT), to our child psychologists, social workers, child life specialists, physical therapists and occupational therapists, we support every child and adolescent according to their individual needs.

Nationally Recognized by the American College of SurgeonsThe Stanford University Medical Center became a trauma center in 1986, and since 1998 has been recognized as a Level I Trauma Center, the highest level awarded by the American College of Surgeons (ACS). They are also a Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center.
According to the ACS, institutions that achieve Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center status possess "not only the hospital resources necessary for trauma care, but also the entire spectrum of care to address the needs of all injured patients."
