Hugo Gonzalez

Hugo Gonzalez serves as chaplain for the Spanish-speaking patients and families at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.
 
Hugo completed his clinical pastoral education at Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, CA. He then served as hospice chaplain for Sutter Care at Home in San Mateo, providing end of life care to patients and their families. Hugo also served as a hospice chaplain in Phoenix, AZ.
 
Prior to hospice chaplaincy, Hugo served for 16 years as a Roman Catholic priest in the Diocese of Phoenix, 11 of those years as the pastor of two Spanish speaking communities. He is a graduate of St. Patrick’s Seminary in Menlo Park, CA and the University of San Francisco.
