Family Resource Center Donation Policy

The Family Resource Center (FRC) depends on the generosity of donors to build and expand its collection of recreational and educational books and videotapes. We accept donations of materials in all languages, especially Spanish.  Please call the FRC at (650) 497-8102 if you have any questions regarding a donation.

Donation Guidelines

Due to our infection control policy and to protect the privacy of our patients, we do not allow groups to personally distribute gifts to children.  Donations are distributed by hospital staff.  Donations must not be wrapped as presents.

Donations delivered to the hospital should be marked “for the Family Resource Center” and they may be left at the Front Information Desk in the hospital’s main lobby.  You will be asked to fill out a simple receipt and will receive a letter of acknowledgement from the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health.

How to Donate Materials

  • Videotapes/DVDs — New, or almost-new, not home-recorded, preferably in their original boxes/cases.  G, PG or PG-13.
