Government Relations is a major participant in fulfilling the advocacy goals of Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. Government Relations builds two-way relationships between the hospital and the external environment. The mission of the Government Relations department is to develop and maintain positive relationships with policy makers, community leaders, health care providers and industry trade associations and work with them to improve the lives of children through advocacy, public policies, programs and regulations. The Government Relations department plays a vital role in linking the resources of the hospital with the needs of the community.
