New Family Program

The Becoming Parents Program is here to assist you throughout your pregnancy and the first year of your child's life. We offer two support groups, each facilitated by experienced childbirth educators who have assisted many couples with the transition to parenthood.

Fee: None
Registration is done at the door on Tuesday mornings.

Location for all groups: Room 121, 4100 Bohannon Drive, Menlo Park

Mother-Baby Mornings: A group for new moms and infants 0-6 months of age. This group is held every Tuesday morning from 10-11:30am. You may begin at any time however we encourage you to come soon after the birth of your child. Listening to others going through the same challenges and thrills of life with a newborn can give ideas and strategies for dealing with common issues of sleeplessness, breastfeeding, time management, couple relationships and much, much more.
NOTE: There will be no Mother-Baby Mornings group meeting on Tuesday, July 3 due to the July 4th holiday.

Evening Parent Group: We invite new moms, dads, working parents with babies 0-12 months of age to join us for an evening of discussion and sharing. Our evening groups are held the first Monday of each month from 6pm-7:30pm. Facilitated by an experienced nurse educator, this group occasionally hosts speaker presentations.
Dates:
  • Monday, June 4 --- 5 Keys of Feeding

Reviews from past participants:

"Invaluable! I gained so much from this group and enjoyed the experience tremendously. My child was colicky the first 3-1/2 months and I needed the support this group provided."

This group "provided structure in my week, especially during the early months when everything was so chaotic."

One of the most valuable aspects of my participation was "gaining confidence in the solutions I had discovered and sharing them with the group. I looked forward to going every week."
