We are committed to providing you with all of the information you need for birth at the Johnson Center for Pregnancy and Newborn Services. Each month we offer free evening presentations for all of those expecting to deliver their baby at the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. Each evening's schedule is below. Feel free to attend whichever parts are of interest to you.

6:00 pm	A presentation by our own Maggie Adalyn Otto Safely Home Car Seat Fitting Station on car seat safety and installation
6:30 pm	Birth Center Orientation with video tour and question and answer session
7:00 pm	An obstetrical anesthesiologist will discuss pain relief options during labor
7:45 pm	For those dates below marked with an asterisk: A local pediatrician will discuss their role in the birth process

This is a free event; no registration is needed.

A video tour (below) and frequently asked questions and answers provide a full patient orientation to our Birth Center. The same Orientation video is shown during our Childbirth Prep Classes and Refresher Childbirth Classes.

Pre-admission materials for your upcoming hospital stay can be obtained directly from the Admitting Department by calling (650) 497-8229.
Please visit the Obstetrical Anesthesia Web page for information and a brochure on pain relief during labor. This brochure is included in each pre-admit packet. A video on epidural anesthesia is available at the Stanford Health Library and in our childbirth classes.
For car seat information and installation, Lucile Packard Children's Hospital offers a Car Seat Fitting Station Program. For information and/or to make an appointment for a car seat check, please call Ben Arias at (650) 736-2981 or your local California Highway Patrol.
