Weekday Evening Childbirth Prep Class

This course includes an overview of labor and delivery, emphasizing the many variations of normal birth. We discuss relaxation and breathing techniques for use during labor as well as postpartum information. Taught by a certified childbirth educator, this class presents audio-visual information and provides a text. A Birth Center Orientation is given during each Childbirth Prep Class.

Fee: $180/couple for LPCH-Stanford patients or $240/couple for others.

This class can be taken as part of the First Birth and Baby Program which offers a discounted price for those taking the Childbirth Prep Class, the Breastfeeding Seminar or Multiples Breastfeeding Seminar and the Cesarean Birth Class. The fee for the full series is $240/couple for LPCH-Stanford patients and $300/couple for those delivering their babies elsewhere.

What to bring: Please bring two bed pillows and a mat with you to each class as some exercises may be done on the floor. Feel free to bring food as needed.
