Set up as the First Birth and Baby Program, this in-depth series of classes includes Weekend Childbirth Prep Class options as well as two evening lectures, one on Breastfeeding or Multiples Breastfeeding and one on Cesarean Birth. The Childbirth Prep Class portion focuses on the stages of labor, the many variations of normal birth and teaches breathing and relaxation techniques for labor. The evening lectures are each held once a month and can be scheduled at your convenience (follow links for specific dates held). A voucher for one session of the New Family Program (or $10 off the full fee) will be given at the time of your class.

Fee: $240/couple for LPCH-Stanford patients; $300/couple for others

Location: Room NC209 at the Hoover Pavilion, 211 Quarry Road, Palo Alto (across from the Stanford Shopping Center).
