PALO ALTO, Calif--
Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford is pleased to announce that James M. McCaughey is the hospital’s new chief strategy officer.
“Jim has an exceptional background in health care strategic planning,” said Christopher Dawes, president and chief executive officer at Packard Children’s. “He has proven leadership in physician practice, facility development, community health and much more. His reputation and accomplishments are outstanding, and we’re lucky to have Jim join our leadership team.”
McCaughey’s experience is extensive. Since 2006, he has served as executive director, capital planning for Kaiser Permanente Hospitals & Health Plan of Northern California. From 2001-2006, McCaughey was vice president, strategy and business development, at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, and from 1996-2001 was that hospital’s vice president of business development. Other senior management positions at California Pacific included director of business development and director of ambulatory clinics and medical education.
