Becoming Parents
Your Child’s Health University offers comprehensive programs and individual classes for new and experienced parents, families and caregivers who are preparing for the arrival of a new baby. From single childbirth to multiples childbirth, Cesarean delivery, maternity fitness, and breastfeeding, Your Child’s Health University provides something for every parent preparing for birth.

Caring for Infants and Young Children
Every child presents unique challenges, so Your Child’s Health University offers classes designed for parents and their young children. Classes on infant CPR and safety are available for parents and, together with their children, they can also learn about the diverse changes that kids experience throughout early childhood, such as developing good sleeping habits and preparing for the emotional and physical realities of having siblings.

Parenting Teens and Preteens
Facilitated by adolescent medicine experts, Your Child’s Health University’s adolescent classes and seminars focus on opening and improving the lines of communication between parents and their preteen and teenage children. Recommended for parents of middle and high-school aged children, these classes are aimed at helping them understand the adolescent mindset and will offer suggestions on the information that today’s teenagers need and how parents can create a partnership of trust and respect.

Pediatric Weight Control
The Packard Pediatric Weight Control Program is a family-based, behavioral and educational program designed to promote healthy eating and exercise habits for overweight children and their families. As part of Lucile Packard Children's Hospital's Center for Healthy Weight, the program offers two age-specific programs for children ages 8-12 and teens ages 13-15. More than 80% of participating children achieve long-term weight loss and parents lose weight too.
